Enabling Cookies

I'm trying to sign up with a particular site, but I'm getting the message "Browser Not Set to Accept Cookies". I don't see anything under Security where I can enable or accept cookies. Can anyone help?

If you're using Internet Explorer (v.5?), go to Tools, Internet Options, Security Tab, Custom Level, and choose Enable under the Cookies option.

How do I determine what version of Internet Explorer I have? I followed the instructions, and I don't see anything relating to cookies under Security.

You can see your version on the Help menu, under About Internet Explorer. But there shouldn't be any major difference, they all have a similar option. How far did you get, did you find the Custom Level button?

You can also find the Internet Explorer Version as follows:
Click Start
Click Run
Type in msinfo32
Click OK
When the Microsoft System Info page pops-up, look in the left hand pane, then scroll
down to "Internet Explorer". Click on "Internet Explorer" [note: do not click on
the plus next to "Internet Explorer" ]. The Version Number should be listed in the
Right Hand Pane.

Yes, I found the Custom Level button. I selected that option, but I don't see anything relating to Cookies.

OK...In version 6 cookies settings were moved to the Privacy tab. The slider lets you select the level of security, which affects cookie settings (read the description of each level) and the Sites button lets you choose sites to allow or deny cookies.
