Hi, I have a Toshiba PIII that will not complete the win 98 setup, it just hangs up after more than 55%. I changed the hard disk , the RAM stick and the prccr fan but still no good. I have the original recovery c.d. and tryed it many times, but it also hangs up in the middle. Please help.

For a desktop box, the old trick is to strip it down to bare bones.
All you need is 1 stick of RAM, a hard drive, disk controller, and a video card.

Remove any hardware you can.
You can install those piece-by-piece later (and likely find which part is broken).
