Please remove the spy shredder popup from my system...you have it setup where it cannot be deleted, it is very frustrating to me. I hope that this is not a target to the elderly (me included) ...I have a security system that I am very pleased with the performance. I believe your system gave me errorneous data i.e. numberof threats to my system. If you have input this on my hard drive...please, please remove it...this annoyance affected my blood pressure. Prayerfully, I remain. Gloria Jones Phillips

Hey! Watch where you point that finger. 8-)

You are in need of the services of a "Malware Forum":

After you get things cleaned up, you need to do some Behavior Modification.
It's MUCH easier to *avoid* infections than to deal with them afterwards.

(#6 does not apply to the insecure DOS-based operating systems
that Micros~1 was producing in 1998/1999--i.e. Windows 98.)

Some tricks you need to learn:

1) Stop clicking on everything that pops up on your screen.
Use the Esc key--not the mouse--to get rid of things that pop up on your screen.

2) For things that the Esc key doesn't clear, use Alt+F4
(while holding down the Alt key, hit the F4 key) to close a window / end a process.

3) STOP USING INTERNET EXPLORER.
Install Firefox
or Opera
(both are FREE) and use THAT to surf the Net.
These modern Web browsers are less likely to ASSIST in infecting your computer.

As gewg_ eluded to, this forum has nothing to do with that software in anyway and
we have no way of removing it from your system. Follow his links to a malware forum
for cleaning instructions. If you aren't experienced, you will need assistance from
someone that is used to dealing with these problems. It can be quite involved and
complicated.

Please do not use your full name when posting on forums. For security reasons, it's
a very bad idea. Select a nick name to go by and use that when posting. You can
do that here and other forums as well. Good Luck!!

Hi Gloria,

SpyShredder is a rogue anti-malware program, and it's also an infection. While these
are specific removal instr. (below) for this one, you should still get assistance
by one of the experts on this malware support forum.

You'll need to register first then follow their pre-posting instr. before posting
a message. Perhaps you have a friend or acquaintance that could lend you hand with
this, if you need it. Good luck.

P.S. As C K mentioned, please go into your forum preference here and edit your name
by deleting at least the middle and last name. The change will also affect this post,
not only future posts, on this forum.
