Error Messages - General Protection Fault

I think this is internet related. I am receiving Error Messages, 2 or 3 different ones, sometimes it is a box that is: IEXPLORE error message and Must Shut Down, sometimes it is this error message: MSIMN has caused a General Protection Fault in Module MMSYSTEM.DLL, I think there is another one or so....when this happens, which is often, I cannot 'hit any button and return to windows' or shut my computer down unless I hold the power button down for 6 sections and force a shutdown. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Portia

Your first problem is that you are still running Internet Exploder.
Firefox and Opera are both free
--and are less likely to ASSIST in infecting your system.

|sometimes it is this error message:
|MSIMN has caused a General Protection Fault in Module MMSYSTEM.DLL
|
Outlook Express is also garbage.
Get yourself a decent email client while you're at it.
Thunderbird is free; Opera has a mail client included.
...also less likely to assist in infecting your system.

With it throwing errors left and right, I'd suspect RAM.
Maybe it's as simple as the modules not being seated properly.

There are many things it *could* be.
