Hi, Iam using WIN98SE and i have installed Microfocus software in my system. when i run the Microfocus the system restarts automatically. Restart takes place only for this application, all other applications are running fine... even i tried installing a number of times... still the problem exists is there any fix... Did you do ANY research before doing this?
When I went looking, this is what I found first thing:

Do you have dot-NET installed?

Note:  Since having massive amounts of bloatware on my box
in order to accomplish simple tasks has never intrigued me,
I have never seen the need to mess with .NET.
(Man, M$ is a bunch of retards when it comes to naming things.)

IOW, this program CRASHES Windows.

My guesses in order of probability: (Perhaps ALL are true.)

1) The installed program is broken.
Solution: Uninstall it and reinstall it.

2) The downloaded file or source CD is corrupted.
Solution: Get a new install file; uninstall and reinstall the app.

3) What you are trying to do is not supported on W98.
Solution: Get a different operation system or different application software.
