Have you done an install? if so, did you do it OVER the previous one? An error message
like that is usually some stuff is left on the disk that shouldn't be there. One
possible solution is to do a backup of important files, and do a fresh install, after
formatting. The other solution involves the Reg. Editor, and thats not for the faint
hearted. Good luck

You haven't given near enough info for anyone to help. That error appears to be related
to a program you have installed, but you didn't say when you get the error. What's
Carbon Copy?

What the devil are you talking about... backup and do a fresh install?? That's an
asinine idea for something like this. The poster wasn't clear at all about when he
even gets the error.

The file ccw32.vxd is a video adapter driver file for use on Compaq computers running
windows 98.
Read this Microsoft page for possible solutions:

The solution I gave the poster was a possible option. The other one I mentioned is
the one that Ed gave. Now, that's what I'm talking about, clear enough?

Oh, OK.... as I said, asinine. And, the poster didn't say he got that message when
Windows started. He didn't give info to know what to suggest, in the first place.

I do hate letting go of this thread, but if I don't, we'll be here all night. I do,
however, suggest, with respect, that you read up on the problem, and you'll find
that it's a registry issue, regardless of when he gets it. Cheers.

With no more info. than what he's provided, it's not possible for someone to give
him "sensible" advice.... let alone suggesting a clean install as an Option. He needs
to clarify. This is the extent of his posts...
