Hey Guys, Can you believe it, Im posting on a 98 Forum.

An Eldery Day Centre i work with just got Givin an old PC with win98 SE on it.
As it had basicly no files on it i didnt get to see any Image files icons on it untill
i Installed Arcsoft Photostudio. and crated some image files.
Now when created, The JPG and BITMAP files are a Nothing icon not Associated to any
program.
I can however right click and choose QuickView to show the image. or drag the image
into and opened program like Paint, or Photostudio.

Ive also gone to where i remeber : Folder options (in my Docs) and the Files types
Tab. Yet i cant find the Bitmap file listed and in the Jpeg im not to sure of what
to edit and how.
PC SPecs are:

AMD K6-2 something...550mhz
318mb ram
8mb Video
Win98 Second Edition.

thank you.
(I cant even remeber how they do display when opened. Paint? or the Quickview?)

Compressed image formats are associated with Internet Exploder by default.
(No version of Internet Exploder that will run on W98 supports *.PNG properly.)

*.BMP is associated with Paint by default.

Installing IrfanView will allow you to view 99.99% of all image formats.
If the default/install config isn't what you desire: Options; Set file associations.
