usb not showing u in my computer

ive got a samsung mobile phone with usb cable,ran the driver,when i plug the phone
in the usb,a beep is heard,its charging the phone,usb mass storage is checked in
the usb settings in the phone but its not showing in my computer

So, you bought a M$ operating system in 1998/1999
and bought a USB device in 2008
and you expect them to work together automagically.

It sounds like you have USB enabled in CMOS Setup.
Now it's down to the W98-to-device adopto-kit (the driver).
Nathan Lineback's generic (universal?) W98 device driver
is even better than Maximus Decim's
(the cached links in the other page are broken now anyway).
