Hi, I am using Windows 98 SE v4.10 (Build 2222 A) and Internet Explorer v6.0.2800.1106 My problem is when I go to www.msn.com it has my town's weather. I do not want my personal information saved. I tried clearing the Auto Complete Forms from Internet Options in IE but that did not work. I also installed TweakUI and used the Paranoia tab and that did not work either. I also deleted all my cookies from IE Properties window and from C:\WINDOWS\Cookies and that did not work. Thanks for your help

The Weather on MSN home page is somehow tied to MSN Hotmail. or Passport accounts. On the MSN Home page if you Hoover with the mouse over the upper Rt hand corner of the Weather Window, a (X) magically appears. This allows you you to clear any saved City zip codes, and close that Window.

Thanks Steve for responding. I went to msn.com and the X showed up like you said so I clicked on it and it cleared my town information out. However when I closed all my Internet Explorer windows and deleted my cookies and came back to msn.com it was still there. Also hotmail does not have my real town information I lied about where I was from because I do not think it is their business. Also other web pages's advertisements mention my town as well so I know it is because I typed it in on a form somewhere and even though I had auto complete turned off it still saved it.

I don't think auto complete or cookies have anything to do with it. Not really sure where the info is stored though, but on My Computer I was able to Close out the information the way I posted.

"On the MSN Home page if you Hoover with the mouse over the upper Rt hand corner..."

What a strange usage.

The British sometimes say, "I'll Hoover the floor" meaning "I'll vacuum the floor."

But a mouse (implying its cursor) hovers over an item on the screen.
