Sheila,
Time to slow down and concentrate on fixing one problem at a time. Takes Patience.
Click START button, click FIND, click Files or Folders. In the Named box type MSVCRT40.dll.
select C: for the Look IN box, click find now.
The file should be found in C:\Windows\System. If found elsewhere, Right click on
the File and click copy. Now open Windows Explorer, scroll down to the Windows Folder,
left click on the Word Windows, to open the Windows Folder in the Right Pane.
Scroll down to the System Folder. Left click to highlight System Folder, then right
click to display the context menu, and click Paste.
Close and reopen Windows Folder, then right click on System folder, choose explore
& see if you can find the file in System folder. If so, restart your computer and
see if the error goes away.
Post back with results..
Just a hint, you're posting too many problems in different Threads. try keeping things
in one Thread. Makes it too hard to keep up and no guarantee anyone will read all
your posts.
IF YOU DO NOT FIND THE FILE, you'll have to get it from either your Win98 CD, another
Win98 Computer or via eMail or download from the Internet to a floppy.
Are you familiar with running System File Checke in Win98?

There's nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.
