Hi Mike. Just to put you in the picture Win95 never had an SE, Second Edition it only had Win95 A, B and C. As for DVD drivers then I would have thought that the DVD Drive would have come with appropriate drivers. I'm not sure if these are suitable for Win95 though. I upgraded it with Micosoft Plus98. When I check properties on the c-drive it says it is windows 98se. I have check the HP/Compaq web site. This is just the first step, I am attempting to network two Compaq ( win 98 ) comuters with cross over cables, I am being prompted to put the windows 98 disk to tranfer files and they can not be found, but that is another problem. Preinstalled systems often have the code on a sticker. Or find someone who has a legal copy of Win98SE with COA & key code. Shouldn't cost too much. Go to DVD MFG web Site. Hopefully this will help . I seem to have this problem before with motherboards with everything built into them. I still have the driver for the sound, which is really all I need. I am trying to just use the computers for music. The Dvd is just icing on the old cake.
