also this is probably easier
start, find, *.pwl*
this will show all user name password
delete it
reboot
put nothing in name and password
reboot, should not have anything come up

It didn't work, I rebooted after deleting and it still came up on restart with my
name and asking for a password. Is there more files that need changing/deleting?

After you've deleted etc, when it asks for a password
at the next boot, don't give it one, hit escape instead. It shouldn't ask on subsequent
boots

Guys, to make it work, after deleting the .pwl file(s) you have to go into network
properties and change the default logon type to "windows logon". Then reboot........don't
type in a password just click OK and it shouldn't bother you any more after that.

I tried the escape key as suggested, but no "joy". It still comes up with my name
and asks for a password. I just relized I'm running ME vice 98, but in this case
I'm not sure it makes a difference.

Reread my previous post and perform all the steps......you don't hit escape, you
click on OK.

How can I take the the profile at c:\Windows\Profiles\username and make it the default
boot-up profile so I can then eliminate usernames/logons, etc.? Thanks for help.
