Question about 'Adjust Your Printer Timeout'

I have a question about Adjust Your Printer Timeout:

it appears to me that only text will NOT print on this HP 500c printer...pictures,pix w/text,online prints fine. word or notepad-good luck...it merely starts flashing print cartridge on the printer. test page perfect. now, recently changed timeout settings, and voila'...3 text pages printed perfectly(wow-cool). are my timeout settings the cause for this or is it a driver corruption or what?HELP!

Having owned one of the 500C's, I can tell you that it will still work as it ought to. I'm sure that your problem is driver-related. Something you installed made a mess of the driver's settings. Finding WHERE could take you months. My suggestion is to use My Computer / Properties (which brings up the hardware manager) to uninstall the printer, then reinstall it. That will renew all the settings for your printer and it should fix the problem. If it doesn't (for some unknoen reason), then try using the newest driver available from HP's web site. I never had any problems under Win 98 that couldn't be solved using this procedure.
