I have a question about Dial-Up Networking Refuses to Remember Passwords:

There is one problem with solution #1: my logon name for my ISP is too long to fit in the "Computer Name" text box.

Most often, the reason for passwords not being remembered in windows 95 and 98 is because windows 98 does not always "log on" as a user. If you click on the start menu and it says "Log off. . ." and not "Log Off (user name)" then it is not using the appropriate *.PWL file (password file) for the username, thus it cannot remember a password, simply click Log Off and then log on with your password (even if it is blank) and your PWL will show up appropriately. TweakUI is suppose to fix this problem, along with being able to modify many different settings, although it seems to work on only half the machines I install it on.
