The most common problem is because of the different workgroup name. Just go to control panel, network, identification. In the workgoup area, all of the computer in one network must use the same name. If this is not enough, you should try another troubleshooting tips, but based on my experience this is the most common problem. Budi

I had a similar problem at one time. It was due to IP addresses being in a different series or class. I believe they need to be in the same series or class such as 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.11, etc. If they are obtaining IP's automatically they could be out of series as well. You should be able to check the IP's by executing ipcfg or winipcfg from the RUN command prompt from the START button to help determine. May want to enter a unique IP and see what type of results you get. Good luck.

The problem that you have happens when you have not installed or enabled the NETBeui protocol on the second computer. The other problem could be the network card irself on the other machine. I assume that you have set up the domain or the "Workgroup correctly.

It sounds simple, but double check your cable connections and make sure all is well, also, look to make sure the "workgroup" name is typed exactly the same as other computers in the lan.

You have not mentioned ne details of ur network settings. Which protocol r u using If I assume that ur using TCP/IP on all the machines and in tht wether ur giving IP address to each machine or selected the option "obtain ip addreess automatically" I would prefer to give ip address to each machine by which we can check the connectivity by using ping command. and if this is ok check tht u have installed the file and print sharing service on the machines which u want to see on the network. If this service is not installed ur mahcines will not be shown in network neighborhood. if this doesnt work then call me
