Question about 'What to do about a Page-fault, Illegal operation, or Fatal exception Error'

I have a question about what to do about getting the messg. "___ has caused an illegal
operation in module NETAPI.DLL each time I start my computer (Win98). It may occur
in four different programs such as Explorer, Monitr32, Mstask or Sys32 and another
one with the 32 on it. Does anyone have any ideas? I recently reinstalled Win98
and wonder if it has something to do with using 32 bit and not checking that somewhere.
Thank you, Jane

Jane: everything you wanted to know about fatal exception errors (and more) can be
found at:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q150/3/14ASP

Jane: my apologies, the end of the URL should read: 14.ASP

One suggestion will be to clean your cache. That seems to help clear up jams.

Ken: my error; I left out the dot before the ASP. The URL should read:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q150/3/14.ASP
It's a good one and worth another try.

Hey Anwar, I have the same problem on my pc. I usually click cancel on the error
page, and then reboot my computer, sometimes this helps. I also recommend using scandisk,
and defragmenting your pc about twice a month. You can also go to "my computer" right
click, then click "properties", go to device manager and see if you have any IRQ
conflicts.
