MOSEARCH has caused a more serious problem to my system that has been quite difficult
and time consuming to isolate ,WIN ME, Office XP (just upgraded to Office XP)
After a suspend to RAM event , on the next reboot about the enter password phase
Blue screen error message 0E:0028:00000008 (or 00000004) press any key and 1 of 2
things will happen you will continue to boot normally or go directly into annother
blue screen
VMM(01)+000132CA ERROR:0D:0028C00142CA from which it will automatically reboot or
FREEZE and a hard Boot is required ,on that boot you will get annother error message
ERROR 0E:0187:BFF73F51
Most often scandisk will run (sometimes it will Freeze, reboot runs ok 2nd time round)
but after that the computer will run and reboot OK ,providing you do not have annother
STR /standby event (HD Fans everything shut down)
problem was isolated by disabling/enabling programs in SYSTEM Configuration Utility/Startup
,reboot ,let go into standby mode , wake ,reboot ,repeat to confirm, move onto next
program and repeat.
3 nights wasted Thanks Microsoft ,what is this program for anyhow ? (file said microsoft
office search service ? Big Brother again ?)
Yes I had the a speed disk problem as well
