'Dealing with Windows's Advanced Power Management (APM)' Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 10:08 am Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by James Fortier (2 messages posted) I have a question about Dealing with Windows's Advanced Power Management (APM): I recently installed Windows ME. I have checked my bios to make sure that it allows the hibernation mode. In power management within the control panel, I checked "hibernation". The computer went into hibernation mode but couldn't come out of it, i.e. I had to restart the computer. This happened twice. Then I received a Windows pop message that said something to the effect that "hibernation mode has failed twice. Do you want to remove this feature" . Without thinking, I checked yes. Now that feature is unavailable in the power management section of the control panel. How do I now add that feature? I think that my original problem was related to a faulty monitor driver. I simply want to reinstall the hibernation feature.
