The program that this website has for Win 2K worked for Win Me better than the one
for Win Me did! There are also a couple other really good programs that do this and
have a hell of a lot more customizing ability. Microangelo will do this and also
let you change the icons for the items in the start menu, for folders and much more
but is still pretty limited. WindowBlinds actually lets you change the entire UI
for windows, and goes along well with Microangelo and also ObjectBar which will let
you change the skin and feel for the entire task bar, I have mine set to XP style
on Me, and also have my regular UI to XP Style. So if anyone didn't know better they
would swear I were using Windows XP.
You can get Microangelo from this site's software section.
You can get WindowBlinds from windowblinds.net completely free but if you want even
more customizing ability for it you'll have to pay $20. Plus they have hundreds of
themes you can download on their website that were made by regular users, and new
themes come out everyday and they are all free to download and install with no time
limit.
You can get ObjectBar at stardock.com, they also make WindowBlinds so you'll have
to look through their downloads section to find it. They also have a lot more programs
that let you customize windows even more. You can try this free of charge but you
will only be allowed to use like 3 different taskbars unless you pay $20.
Sorry, not trying to sell any products here but am just letting others know that
these programs are really good and worth trying out if you are sick of boring old
Windows looks:)
