I can see three options. Others may see more in addition:
1. Reinstall the programme from the Internet. Then make a copy of the folders produced
so that, should the same thing happen again, you have a backup of them. Then try
uninstall again. You could also see if the programme has its own uninstall facility:
look in its help section under uninstall. Otherwise do a Windows search for: unin*.lnk
and see if one of the resulting shortcuts found relates to the programme you want
to uninstall. If so, double click it in the search pane and you should get rid of
that b****y monkey once and for all!
2. If the uninstall hangs again, you can always manually delete the programme folder,
but then yo0u ought to edit the registry or you might get further problems (run -
'regedit' - return) in order to remove every mention of the programme from your PC
- but you have to be thorough and very careful of course - AND you must make a back-up
of the registry (file - export) first. I've obviously no idea if you know about editing
the registry or not - if not, I'd not recommend this method as you could delete something
vital! It could take an hour as well!
3. If you have Norton Utilities or similar, set the install monitor running before
you reinstall Bonzi - you can then use the Utilities programme to uninstall it.
