The instructions on the link you provided seem easy enough to follow to reverse the problem. Now, let me see if I understand you, based on the link you provided. You changed the file attribute of the 2 files mentioned from .sys to .bmp, made changes to them, resized them, saved them, renamed them from .bmp to .sys and copied them back into your windows directory without backing up your original files and now you get nothing to display?
