You should be able to update Windows from their update page accessed most easily
from the start button. The automatic notification feature which is SUPPOSED to work
can be also activated. On my computer it does not work though and after working with
Microsoft's support guys, they finally advised me to re-install Windows ME (No way
I will do this). I would suggest that before you visit the Update page you disable
anti-virus and firewall programs as they can interfere with proper downloading. I
would urge that you get any Critical Updates that are available.
