Try booting into Safe Mode (hold left Ctrl key down before the initial Windows ME splash screen) and see if you can get windows up at all. If not you will have to boot the system with a Windows ME recovery boot diskette. Look for any WINK???.exe files that indicate an infection with the Klez virus (from DOS prompt enter: ATTRIB /S WINK*.*). You may also need to restore the stmgr file from the CAB files if it is infected. You may need to get some experianced help to take a look at the system or run some Anti-Virus tools on it. Need a lot more information on what is wrong.
