I have a question about Connect to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:

I've tried for years to network my two PC's over a network, using a crossover cable. The PC's are running Windows 95 and Windows Me. I have been able to set them up using the NetBeui protocol or the IPX/SPX protocol, but cannot set it up using TCP/IP protocol. I need to use TCP/IP as Norton Internet Security disables the network completely. I would like to set my two PC's up as above, so I can share my printer and my internet connection. Any help would be most grateful.
