Windows ME - View Thumnails as Default Setting

I have been trying to set the view setting on my ArcSoft PhotoSuite 2000 program
to view "Thumnails" as my default setting so that every time I try to open up a photo,
I will view the thumbnail image and not just the file name. The setting always defaults
to view my photos in "List" format. I am told by ArcSoft that it is a Microsoft
issue since this command is comming from them and not Photosuite. Of couse Microsoft's
generic response is that it is not a Microsoft issue. Something is causing the default
to be in "List" setting as opposed to "Thumbnails" or "Details" etc. How can I change
this? Thanks! Tom
