Hi Tom,
If you already have "Remember each folders's view settings" set in Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>View checked then try repairing the Internet Explorer: Open the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs, choose your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer and click Add/Remove. In the window that opens select Repair.
