Can't boot into safe mode Monday, September 9, 2002 at 6:23 am Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by RichT (177 messages posted) I am having trouble booting into Safe Mode on my Dell Dimension computer. When I hold down the Ctrl key at boot up, I get a black screen and and message saying there is a keyboard error. Then it seems like it says it fixed the the error and then boots into Windows even though I am still holding down the Ctrl key. I have also tried holding down the F8 and Esc keys with no luck. Any ideas on this?
