system restore must be disabled before running virus scans. restore monitors system
files, and itself is a protected file, that the scanner can't penetrate. click start
-point to settings-click system- click performance tab-click file system- click troubleshooting-
select disable system restore--click OK --click close-- and then restart computer.
then run virus scanner, it should then clear up problems. after which, you can
enable restore to start setting, new restore points. just be sure not to restore
to any date prior to this date, other wise you may restore virus in old restore points.
these restore points will eventually be purged by new points being made.
