I don't know if this will help or not, but just as a suggestion: Check your registry,
navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:Software:Microsoft:Windows:CurrentVersion:Run and
see if there is an entry in there that says NvCplDaemon. If not, maybe try adding
it? The value data on mine says RUNDLL32.EXE NvQTwk,NvCplDaemon initialize. I don't
know if this will work, but it can't hurt. Just be sure to save your registry before
making any changes.
