IF I had the option I would remove ME from my computer and use '98se or Win 2000. You should ignore the bit in quotes and stick with the serious stuff. Disabling fast-find is a serious endeavour to prevent ME from using too much in the way of system resources. Typing A:\>format C: would be a LAST resort before installing from scratch.
