Iain where do I start... The system restore is disabled. In my startup guide I had
none of the files you were asking me to disable. I ran the ME startup disk and had
it start with no CD-ROM support. At the a prompt I typed in the command as noted.
I got a message I would loose all files I think it was y or n. I hit yes and nothing
really happened. I tried a ctrl alt delete but it did not restart so I shut down
manually and removed the boot disk. It still started in safe mode and I could not
find the hidden files you asked me for. I did look for the _restore with a search
and found 11 files with that string in a longer command. I guess I failed.
