Carol Thanks for the help. I did not realize we were trying to save the changes
in the word pad / note pad with the file/save function. I didn't make any changes
so I just didn't follow the train of thought. I have actually called a buddy and
have also tried about 8 different types of start ups based on the selective startup
function as per the MS web site to narrow down the problem. No good. I have duplicates
under
Human Interface Devices: compliant consumer control divice, compliant device, USB
HID.
Network adapters: Accton.......PCI Fast Ethernet adapter
System Devices: IRQ holder for PCI IRQ steering
Universal Serial Bus controller: Generic USB hub (one of these actually has a green
question mark over the symbol for the USB)
That is it for the multiple entries. Some just have one extra and the HID has several
of the compliant devices.
