I have had this occur on my system. after noodling around about it I discovered that
an old immage program I was running was conflicting wth the system backup feature
in ME. It was causing sbu to fill up my hard drive with backed up what ever and then
informing me that I was running out of resourses. I turned off sbu and bingo. no
more random disk chatter. check it out. you can always use go back or some other
to do that task.
