I seem to have the same error, i am running windows XP with a broadband connection.
I have internet connection sharing set up, and when trying to load a web page using
ie 6.01 i get this error. In the task bar i noticed it was trying to connect via
my connected computer, even though this is the one with the connection, when trying
to upgrade, add a service pack it cannot initialize the setup as it cannot connect.
In the tools connections tabs i have no settings saying dial up through my lan??
I am stuck i can connect with netscape and to be honest i am beginning to prefer
it, problem is there are a few sites that only support ie, so i am stuck, any suggestions
will be gladly accepted.
