Well I figured it out! My problem at least. I hope the list that follows will help someone else too. (Ref. Below) 1) I noticed a file trying to connect to my network but my firewall was not letting it. The file name was "cmd32.exe". It was really bogging my system down too. Then I noticed it was happening when I used Kazaa, peer 2 peer. I thought about it and remembered I downloaded a screen saver from Kazaa and clicked on the file and nothing happend, or so I thought! 2) I checked my system monitor and my Kernel Prosessor Usage was running @ 100% non-stop! 3) I went to Google and looked up "cmd32.exe" and I came to a site that said it was a Trojan. 4) I looked to see if I still had the trial Trojan Remover Program I downloaded and I did. I installed it and ran the update, then I ran the scan! It found all the files and tried to rename them. It was able to do some but some were in use. So it needed to do a restart. Before I clicked to restart I noticed it said trojans will sometimes prevent shutdowns! Ah ha!!!! BINGO!!!! After I had to shut the power switch off and rebooted, it renamed the rest of the files! 3) I unplugged my cable modem turned off all but my Anti-Virus and my Firewall and ran Scan Disk. Then I defragged my system and I have been error free since. I have shut down and restarted several times. No problems. Refferences: Firewall - Free - (http://www.sygate.com/) Anti-Virus - Free - (http://www.grisoft.com/) Trojan Remover - Trial - (http://www.simplysup.com/) I hope this helps someone else! Tim
