I have the same "Venetial Blinds" with my ME driven laptop (although it looks more
like corduroy to me! I too adjusted refresh rate and acceleration as well as dumped
and reloaded the driver but nothing worked. Mine happens all the time, though, not
just after the computer warms up. Refreshing the screen makes the lines go away
but they soon return after interecting with the screen. Also, the mouse leaves footprints
when I drag an icon.
I contacted Dell and they told me it was a conflict with the registry in Windows
ME. I was told to do a dirty reinstall of ME and the problem will be solved. Haven't
tried it yet. Did you? Did it work?
I'd like to hear from you.
