Try going to Tools>Internet Options>Connections and see what you have checked. I recently was having a problem with getting 2 different connection logon boxes and then I found out that once I checked "Never dial" I got rid of the Logon box I didn't want to use. Maybe the "Always dial..." or "Dial whenever...." will solve your problem.
