Monday, June 30, 2003 at 1:58 pm Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Morgan (3 messages posted) I have an idea about How do I make the background of desktop icon text transparent?: If you go into the appearence heading under display properties, you can change the color on an item called "desktop". It only effects anything behind a wallpaper image. And since the text of an icon is basicaly a hole in the wallpaper, this color is the background color of the text. While traspaerancy is out, you can force windows to match color using the custom color function.
