I have the same problem - computer keeps resetting to "never dial a conneciton" all
by itself. But none of the tips I see here seems to apply to me. The computer in
question is used only as my dial-up gateway to the Internet. It has no background
programs running, it has no cookies or adware or any of that stuff - it's a very
clean installation. All it's doing is running Internet Connection Sharing (under
Windows Millennium), and serving my other computers via the LAN.
Most of the time everything's fine and it automatically dials out when one of my
computers wants to get on the Internet. But every so often it fails to do so and
I find that it's because the settings have reverted to "never dial a connection".
Nobody else ever uses this particular computer, so I'm sure it's doing this by itself.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
