You seem to have overlooked what Steveo had said.
"Actually you can uninstall windows media player 9. I found this on the net so I
can't take credit for it, but it really does work. Just type in the run cmd box found
in the start menu: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\WINDOWS\INF\wmp.inf,Uninstall
(no spaces after the commas) That should be the directory or else alter it to point
to your Windows directory. After typing that in and hitting the enter key it will
uninstall."
THIS DOES WORK IN WINDOWS ME AND 98!
