Hi Charles,
You could delete both C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT and C:\CONFIG.SYS but you would not notice any difference. At start up Windows Me looks at these files but does not parse them. They are there for compatiblity with some older programs. BTW, do not delete those files which reside in the C:\Windows\Command\EBD folder. Those are used when you create a DOS boot disk (Startup Disk).
