Hi I also had problems with search after upgrading to IE6. I was able to get back to IE5 using the following command from MS web site: "drive:\program files\internet explorer\ie uninstall\w2kexcp" /u /q I still did not get back search from the start menu. Hope this helps you get back to IE5. AK
