To deal with it back to front so to speak, to restore access to system tools etc.,
right click a blank part of the taskbar and choose "Properties" from the menu. Uncheck
the option "Use personalized menus". Click Apply/OK.
The WMP 9.0 is a bigger problem. He can only remove that by using System Restore
to turn back the clock to a time before he installed v9.0. System Restore is on the
System Tools menu, but you can also access it via C:\Windows\System\Restore. The
file is called RSTRUI.exe.
In case you need it, you can find all versions of WMP
