I delete a desktop icon and it returns once i restart! HELP!

Hi
I had a lot of problems lately with porn pop-ups and stuff
I downloaded spybot and it helped a lot and I also use a pop up stopper to stop all
of the annoying pop-ups
and that works great to. I hear a lot of clicking, which is the noise associated
with a blocked pop-up
i thought i was home free, but 2 things keep haunting me
1. i have 3 icons on my desktop (they are all the purple help book icon that you
would see in the help section of a program) one says google one says surfing and
one says porn.
I delete them, but once i restart my computer, they come back. I can't get rid of
them
2. when i start internet explorer the default page is some porn search webpage.
I change the default webpage in internet options and it works until i restart my
computer. The default page goes back to the porn site
Can ANYONE help me with these problems
I can't figure out what to do
I can't find the icons in regedit and i have no idea why the default page goes back
to the porn search page after i reboot
any advice would be greatly appreciated
