I have a HP Pavilion 7845 computer that is 2 1/2 years old. It is a PIII 866 Mhz
processor. I am running windows ME. It came with 128 MB RAM and is expandible to
512 MB (2) 256 MB Chips. Last year I purchased a Centon 256 MB PC 100 SDRAM (144500
HIQAV4VUB). I have had no problems running it with the 128 MB RAM that came with
my computer. Recently I purchased another centon 256 MB RAM (166134) with the intention
of upgrading my RAM to 512. I replaced my 128 MB RAM with it and my computer would
not boot up. I keep getting the following error message telling me that the following
file is corrupted or missing C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM|Vmm32.VXD. If I use either Centon
256 MB chip in conjunction with the 128 RAM the computer boots and works fine. I
only have problems when I try to use the (2) 256 RAM together. Can you please tell
me what the problem is.
