Many thanx for your input. I dont use Internet Explorer but rather something called NETSCAPE but I guess the same procedure will work--I'll muddle thru it somehow. I guess the term DESKTOP WAS CONFUSING ---I have numerous SHORTCUTS on my desktop that I would like to keep== I'll find a way. Thanks again.
