The UDF format is not supported by Windows ME CD drivers directly. You have to have the ROXIO UDF reader or ROXIO Easy CD Creator software installed in order to read a UDF formated CD-R. (Or Nero's version.)

If there is no UDF reader installed, then ROXIO formated UDF CD-R's try to install a reader from the CD-R. This often fails with Windows ME, as the older self installing UDF reader on the CD-R's is not compatible with Windows ME.

If you don't have CD-RW software installed, then you can download a copy of the UDF Reader from the http://www.ROXIO.com web site that works with Windows ME. If you have a CD-RW software package installed on our machine, you first need to update it with the latest levels. If it does not support ROXIO's UDF format, then you will still need their reader.
