windows me freezes at desktop Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 9:43 pm Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Sarm (1 messages posted) My windows ME machine boots up to the desktop and freezes. I can see the wallpaper but no desktop icons or start menu/bar. Mcafee tries to start up. I can do ctrl-alt-del to shutdown machine only or stop the two mcafee processes that are running. I have mouse control. I try to go into safe mode but same scenario... get to desktop wallpaper... no icons... no start menu/bar. Does anyone know where I can start? Thanks.
