I have a question about Explorer is reporting the wrong amount of free space (FAT32 Free Space Bug):

Hmmm... how does the fat32 free space bug work (or rather not work!)? How does scandisk or ndd fix the problem (as in technical details)? Are there programmes that only fix this bug (so you don't need to go through the tedious task of shutting down system restore, other programmes, etc and then running scandisk or ndd)? If not, surely it can't be that hard to programme it! If someone posts the method of the fix, I'm sure there'll be someone out there who could programme it (I would count myself as one of those, but I won't have the time in the near future).
