Use the Windows Start-Up diskette (floppy) you made when (he hopes) or make one on
another ME Machine. Put it into the A: drive and start up. Choose minimum boot and
then type:

A:\>scanreg /restore , and press ENTER.

You need to choose a date before you did the install.

Now try re-booting to the desktop. You need to use System Restore to remove WMP 9

If you have a Windows ME CD and the Product Key number you can format fom A:\ with:

A:\>format C: , and then do a full re-install. You WILL loose ALL of the data on
the drive though, so if there is any you need to keep burn it off onto CDRWs.

You cannot format the C:\drive in Windows as it is running!!! ;-)
